The Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition uses science to understand how our human activity impacts the quality and quantity of water both in our rivers and in the underground aquifers. We share that understanding with our communities, and find tangible ways to take care of our most valuable resource - water.
The Housatonic Valley Association (HVA) brings together a wide range of people and organizations that are deeply concerned about the resources and environmental quality of the Housatonic River Valley. Together, we protect land and water throughout the entire 2,000-square-mile, tri-state Housatonic Watershed.
The Kent Land Trust was formed to preserve the rural character of Kent by protecting open space.
Weantinoge Heritage Land Trust is the largest land conservation organization in Connecticut. Since our founding in 1965, Weantinoge has been dedicated to preserving and protecting the natural environment and the region’s working farmland, while also providing children and families with enriching opportunities to learn about and experience the natural world.
Rivers Alliance of Connecticut is the only statewide nonprofit dedicated to protecting and enhancing all of Connecticut's waterways. We promote and support environmentally sound state policies, assist the state's many watershed and river groups, and educate the public about the importance of water conservation and aquatic habitats.
